Actinomycosis is a chronic bacterial infection caused by Actinomyces. Diagnosis of the diseases is difficult because of there is no cha-racteristic symptomps and findings. Its symptomatolgy imitates some malignant pelvic tumours or other bacterial agents, tuberculosis and nocardiosis, causing abcesses. The use of RIA, one of the methods of family planning, is a predisposing factor for pelvic actinomycosis. Its diagnosis is often performed by histopathologic examinations post-ope-rative. In this study, we reported a case with pelvic actinomycosis with uninterrupted use of RIA for 12 years that was operated for differential diagnosis with pelvic mass, pelvic abcesses treatment was initiated and diagnosed by post-operative.
