Abstract
There are some problems which should be discussed and solved in art eductation in Turkey. Not only is it inappropriate that schools and academic institutions call it 'painting and craft education', it also causes confusion. Scientific research in this field in developed countries is not sufficiently known or followed in our country. There arc. in addition, some other problems caused by the limited amount of research in this field. This article investigates the negative effects of these matters on art education and academia.
